Three 12 hour shifts..OH NO!

Fingers crossed. I am always horrible with eating when working three 12 hr shifts in a row. I bbq'd 8 chicken breasts, carrots, green peppers and sweet potatoes and cooked in the pan a whole package of sliced button mushrooms, onion and garlic scape. Between that and cucumber and fruits I hope to avoid going to the cafeteria. This group is making me feel more accountable which is a good thing.
Will pack my lunch the night before work and stick to it even if I have a craving for something else.

I WILL NOT EAT IN THE CAFETERIA!!!! OR THE COFFEE SHOP (except for tea)

12 hour shifts feel so long sometimes...after work blues...

I am so proud of myself! Normally after a LONG 12 hr shift at the hospital, I have no desire to cook or prepare anything. The thought of this group however made my stop at the local fruit stand and grocery store. I made a fresh fruit salad for both work tomorrow and for the house. I cooked up local grown angus ground beef with cremini mushrooms, ref pepper, tomato, garlic scape and onion with a bit of homemade pasta sauce (farmers market) and cooked some whole wheat yolk free noodles. Add some yogurt and I now have all three meals for tomorrow at work. :)

I still need to work on eating before I leave the house. I wake up at 0500 and have no stomach for anything foodwise. I drink water or tea and that is it until 0930 or 1000 at first coffee break at work.

I will really need to work on portion control and precooking and making my meals for the work week. I will also need to work on figuring out night shifts. Eating is not easy as you don`t have structured breaks like on a day shift so it becomes either none existent eating or constant eating.

Lesson Three - Document Your Journey

I am documenting here and on facebook. I hope to gather some support along the way.I will continue to document and stay accountable.

Lesson Two - MEASUREMENTS

Self Explanatory... I took my starting weight ( will weigh every second week or less) and my starting measurements.

Lesson One - GOALS

The lesson was about making big goals and smaller ones. But not unattainable goals. Make a big one and break it into smaller more manageable goals.

Here are my goals for 2012

1. Better Diet (Clean Eating)
  - eat clean 75-80% by Christmas
  - Start small - eliminate one bad/vice food a eek or cut down on amount consumed each each until eliminated
  - Eat local as much as possible
  - One treat a week unless it is a trigger food
  - Drink one shakeology every day (this will depend on if I like it)

2. Better Workout Regime
  - Have gym membership - USE IT!!!
        - go to gym at least once a week on top of any personal training sessions
        - add as work schedule allows ( I work 12 hrs shift work)
  - Have TOTAL GYM - USE IT!!!
        - set it up
        - use in 3-5 times per week
        - learn new exercises and rewatch beginners video
  - Do home cardio on Wii
        - 2-3 times per week

3, Pick and stick with a Home Workout Program
  - Have many but complete none to date - change this
  - Pick one and follow to completion

4. Financial Stability
  - Just bought a house take possession this month)
  - Pay bills on time
  - Learn to budget (main weakness)
  - Save $50-$100 per month
  - Pay personal loans off as quickly as possible
  - Pay off student loans
 - Live Frugally --> no more ADDED debt
  - DO NOT OVER SPEND --> THINK BEFORE I BUY

I just started a 30 day journey through facebook.
